Pros

- You'll learn what you don't want out of a job - You'll learn to never disregard high turnover rates or red flags in an interview again - Having multiple clients and getting to work on websites for different industries is fun...when you're actually kept in the loop

Cons

- Terrible communication within the company; senior employees assume you know things or should know to ask about certain things and then get angry when (shocker!) you drop the ball because you have no means of knowing what information you need (e.g. not telling you there's a checklist to follow but getting angry that you didn't ask about it despite not even knowing it existed...even though you just asked what specific things you needed to do to complete the task) -Open offices are proven to decrease productivity while increasing stress, and you'll really feel it working here -Expect conflicting instructions because no one is on the same page - If you're really lucky, you'll get randomly pulled into meetings with clients with no prior warning or time to prepare. Nothing on your calendar, no email, just a heads up two minutes before they arrive (or when they're already there!). - No retirement plan

Pros

iNET-Web hired me without any prior copywriting or SEO experience as in intern a few years ago. The SEO Team Lead & the team worked together to train me on how SEO works. I remember being nervous for my first week, but always feeling I had the support I needed to learn & excel. I was always treated as part of the team, even if I wasn't the most open or friendliest person. The knowledge I gained at iNET-Web helped me secure another job where I used my experience to help save my employer thousands by cutting an SEO service they were using that was spam. I was able to boost my employer's audience tremendously & am grateful for the training I received at iNET-Web to be able to do so as well. I have always & will continue to recommend iNET-Web to any company in Wisconsin looking for an agency that not only knows what they're doing, but pushes their teams to do it well. They take their clients' requests, budgets & website strategies very seriously. I was trained to work hard & produce my best for every account. iNET-Web is a legitimate & effective marketing agency.

Cons

iNET-Web receives some critical reviews online. Many are critical of the radio ads or management. After being a part of the team, I've reached the conclusion that these ads seem to be more opinion-based or personal attacks on the owner. I hear their radio ads all of the time & they are not all the same. Some do have more personality, but others are more mainstream. It all depends on what the client asks for. During my time with iNET-Web, I never saw anything that would make me question my employment with the agency. I only left because I needed a full time position & wanted one closer to home. (I lived south of Milwaukee.) If I lived in or near Waukesha, I would have pursued full time employment with iNET.

Pros

They are the laughing stock of the Wisconsin digital marketing community. The only reason they're even on any other agency's radar is not because of competition, but because everyone makes fun of how awful their work is, so you can pretty much do whatever you want & nothing will matter anyway.

Cons

They will spend more time trying to get this deleted/cover it up with fake positive reviews than actually taking steps to make themselves better, so I will keep this short. If you are desperate for a job - literally risking living on the streets - go ahead and take a job here until you can get back on your feet. If you have ANY other option, skip past this one. My experience at iNet did not advance me in any way, and despite having over a year of experience, I left iNet at square one because no one in the industry considers iNet experience real experience. Other digital marketing companies view hiring former iNet employees as a rescue mission. The company is often described by other agencies as “a puppy mill for marketers.” NO one is threatened by them as far as client success, because all the tactics they use are unethical and there is no real skill used in their marketing “strategies.” Everyone laughs at them as they run around thinking they’re the big dogs - It’s honestly kind of adorable now that I’m back out in the real world. At the agency I’m at now, I am making nearly twice as much money, with a more comprehensive benefits package, 401k, unlimited time off, and professional development opportunities, all while doing half the “work” I did at this place. The difference is the work matters because there’s actual formal training at my latest company, while everything at inet is “figure it out yourself,” so no one knows how to do anything. If you want to make a livable wage doing something that matters even the smallest amount, look for something else.
