Pros

It’s a good place to get management experience. Pay is competitive for all levels (only competitive in comparison to other retailers) Nice community and you make a lot of friends.

Cons

If you’re in a leadership role, odds are you’ll only get appreciated for your first few months then you become a doormat.

Going downhill

Pros

Generous product discount Good insurance plan options Free employee support programs Work from home, dedicated device

Cons

Company policy frequently changes in ways which impact guest experience poorly, technology is limited for unexplainable reasons, "Tech team" in regards to website seems to be make-believe. Inconsistent hours but scheduling structure is unpredictable and not conducive to working multiple jobs. No M-F schedule option for tenured employees in educator role. Advancement is portrayed as achievable with hard work, but promotions don't seem to be based on merit or expertise. PTO is misleading - you have some accrued sick hours, but vacation "PAID TIME OFF" is paid out over time, not redeemable at time of use and this model encourages employees not to use unpaid vacation hours which encourages burnout, not employee wellbeing. Disrespectful of US holidays such as July 4th (Independence Day) Recent contractor employees who support guests alongside lululemon employees tend to rush and misunderstand inquiries, causing more problems that we have spend time and often times MONEY fixing.

We’d like to listen and learn more about this. If you need support or wish to speak with someone, we encourage you to reach out to a trusted leader at lululemon, or your People & Culture partner.
