Pros

If you can interview well and get the opportunity to do so, you have a chance at scoring a role with a fortune 500 company. Once you land a role you begin to collect money with minimal contact from the company. Decently paid training.

Cons

Absolutely abhorrent training from the Front End Development Instructor. The Instructor ghosted the class for the final 2 weeks of class. They try and teach you Data Structures in one or two 3 hour lectures. The instructor was very bad at explaining basic concepts. By the end of the program roughly 6-8 students either dropped out or found employment elsewhere. Three out of the original 25 students were employed through the program one month after finishing the training. Many of the cohort got to ride the bench and haven't found positions. How the interviews are partitioned amongst the cohort isn't merit based, but I do believe the brightest found opportunities regardless. Interview prep was only given to a select few students who interviewed with a top tier client of theirs early on in the program. Everyone else was left to fend for themselves. I ended up getting a position as a Back End Engineer instead of Front End Engineer.. which is cool I suppose.

Hi There, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It's disappointing to hear about your training experience, you should have had a designated Academy Experience Manager who is always available for any concerns and I will look into this further if you could email me directly on your cohort number. We do review the Academy grading to make sure individuals are of the right level before being put forward to client interviews therefore there is a certain amount of it being merit-based. Now every trainee will also be receiving a midpoint practice interview whether they have interviews booked or not. I am really pleased you have secured a role as a Back End Engineer, as you know you have the final choice on what role you accept and I wish you all the best! Any other feedback please do contact me directly. Kind Regards, Kat Snodgrass Director - Global Talent Pool kat.snodgrass@wileyedge.com
