When you get hired on make sure to go over your 5 year plan right up front and get it in writing. As you progress make sure management is held accountable. That's the mistake I made as I did not get things in writing. Things move very very slow when a raise is to be put in place or overall comp plan is to be upgraded. I had my best 2 quarters while working from home but my immediate manager made me feel guilty for not being in the office and so myself and our team were the only ones in HQ back in the office well before the July 6th reopening of offices.
