Great teammates, poor management/direction & work/life balance

Pros

Good location, free snacks/drinks/meals, nice open office space, great teammates and loose atmosphere with said teammates.

Cons

Priorities often shifting. No vacation policy, but work/life balance isn't there, depending on which department you are in (Not out of the question to get emails in the middle of overnight, on weekends, etc.). By being focused on marching to an IPO, senior management doesn't seem too invested in making sure their employees are growing in their careers, or if they're happy. No growth opportunities from within, either, depending on which part of the org. you are in. Average pay with small increases if you do a job well done. Started off very good, but has quickly gone downhill with senior execs departing, and lots of turnover organization-wide.

Sales

Pros

Great culture and benefits, easy to make a lot of money if you put the time in, no day to day micro management. Managers don't focus on making dials and being on the phone, they encourage using your own sales style to be successful. It's fun and exciting being part of a company with rapid growth and success. Unlimited vacation policy is nice too

Cons

Lots of operational changes due to rapid growth, so you need to be able to adapt to new processes and procedures.

LONG hours - always on

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

out of Boston, so no need to commute on the dreaded Pike fun co-workers

Cons

management expects you to always be online working - even off hours from home / mobile poor middle management horrible work/life balance adheres to the "no time off policy" policy - meaning they claim you can take as much vaca as you want, but you're pressured to always be working and they don't bank any unused hours that will get paid out upon leaving
