Previously a great place to work, but has lost it's way

Pros

- Tech stack can be interesting to work on depending on the team - Some very sharp coworkers that are passionate about technology - Flexible working hours which promotes a good work-life balance

Cons

- Compensation has not kept up with the surrounding market - Promotions are scarce with a preference to hire from the outside - There is no product direction and no one is held accountable for a lack of research before attempting to go to market with unreasonable timeline expectations - Critical failures at all levels of management to deal with employees that cannot pull their weight

Pros

Break room is good and there are a handful of talented people there. Easy work. Very hard to get fired, no matter how much you phone it in. Good if you want to coast.

Cons

Incompetence from middle management and absolutely no one is held accountant at any level. Bad apples go unchecked and there are repercussions for speaking up. Product has no clue what to do with the products and just throw things at the wall, hoping something will stick. As a result, employees spin their wheels or twiddle their thumbs. Additionally, any dealer with a harebrained idea can likely get it through if they know Dale because nobody on the product team has a clearer direction.
