84 Lumber, the nation’s largest privately held supplier of building materials, donated $15,000 of building materials in support of the Rebuilding Hollers Foundation on a special edition of ABC’s Good Morning America live yesterday from Asheville, North Carolina. The donation will aid in the ongoing efforts to help rebuild communities in Yancey and Mitchell Counties. Rebuilding Hollers has already initiated over 385 active projects, working to restore homes, businesses, farms, workshops, and art studios in the region. You can view the segment here. This donation comes on the six-month milestone marking the arrival of Tropical Storm Helene in Western North Carolina. Good Morning America broadcast live from Asheville during a special two-hour segment, "Asheville Rising," from 7 to 9 a.m. on March 27. The special highlighted the region's recovery progress and ongoing challenges following the catastrophic impact of Helene, which caused widespread destruction and claimed lives.

84 Lumber the nation’s leading supplier of building materials, has opened its latest Andersen® window and door showroom in Annapolis, Maryland, further strengthening its collaboration with Andersen. Located at 111 Chinquapin Round Road in the Annapolis Design District, the new showroom is now open to customers Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST. “We are excited to unveil the new Andersen product showroom in Annapolis,” said Clint Vance, Area Manager at 84 Lumber. “This location provides the perfect setting for us to showcase a diverse selection of Andersen windows and doors products and offer customers an exceptional experience.” The 1,350-square-foot showroom features an extensive array of Andersen products, including the 100 Series, 200 Series, 400 Series, A-Series, E-Series product lines, and Andersen Big Doors. Guests can explore innovative offerings such as pocketing MultiGlide™ doors with powered functionality, a custom pivot door, and a custom LiftSlide door. The showroom also highlights various replacement window configurations, catering to homeowners, builders, and designers seeking quality and customization.
84 Lumber continues to expand its services in the Mid-Atlantic with the opening of another component plant in Newark, Delaware. The company’s newest plant, at 10 Aleph Drive, is a 21,113-square-foot building on 3.12 acres. Formerly Warren Truss, 84 Lumber acquired the facility in June 2024 to manufacture wall panels and floor trusses to meet the growing market demand in Delaware, New Jersey, and the greater Philadelphia metro area. “We now have three locations to service these markets,” said Sean O’Connell, general manager of the New Britain, Newark, and Bloomsburg truss plants. “This includes our facilities in New Britain and the recently opened truss plant in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.” The plant began operating in January with 10 associates. The company plans to hire a total of 50 associates by 2026.
84 Lumber is continuing to expand its component manufacturing plants after acquiring a new facility in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, just northeast of Harrisburg. The company’s newest truss plant, at 1074 Alliance Park Drive, is a 29,016-square-foot building which sits on 8.8 acres. 84 Lumber acquired the facility, formerly Tri-County Truss, in the Lightstreet business park. The truss plant, which will primarily construct roof trusses, was needed to keep up with demand and market growth in eastern and central Pennsylvania. “This new facility has state-of-the-art, advanced MiTek robotic technology that allows the trusses to be built not just faster and more accurately, but, more importantly, safer and efficiently for our associates,” said Sean O’Connell, the general manager of the Bloomsburg truss plant. “This truss plant, which is the third in the state of Pennsylvania, and the sixth in 84 Lumber’s Mid-Atlantic region, has a laser system that guides the wood, and automation on the tables.” Operations started on Jan. 09, 2025, with 15 associates currently working at the truss plant. The company plans to hire a total of 30 associates before the end of 2025, and 50-60 associates in 2026. “84 Lumber has a fantastic ladder of opportunity program – and that includes our Production Manager trainee (PMT) program,” said O’Connell.
