For over 50 years, Acacia Network and its affiliates have been committed to improving the quality-of-life and wellbeing of underserved Latino communities in New York State and beyond. Given the current COVID-19 public health crisis, we have redoubled our efforts to serve the most vulnerable members of our communities –including our homeless population, the elderly, people of all ages requiring physical and mental health services, as well as individuals suffering from addiction—, while safeguarding the health and safety of our staff, our partners, and our clients. As we navigate the rapidly unfolding COVID-19 outbreak, we wanted to take a moment to connect with you about the actions we are taking to ensure the health and safety of our staff, clients, board members and the communities we serve. We have been following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and other federal and local agencies for information and updates in real time. The Executive Team is conducting morning and evening huddles to address all new developments as they arise. Our Facilities Management team has been working diligently to maintain a clean and safe environment for all employees. They have increased routine cleanings in all buildings across the network and are cleaning high-touch surfaces and common areas at least 4 times daily. Acacia has always been present in times of crisis and the health and welfare of our employees, clients and board members remains a top priority.
