"I chose to work for Akamai because I was very impressed with the work they do – I loved the interactions I had had with the leaders during the interview process, especially the passion everyone shared about Akamai. This got me hooked, and after further research, I had a strong desire to be a part of this company and its growth." This is Neha, she works for our team at #AkamaiIndia, based in 📍 Bangalore, Karnataka as a Director of Engineering 🤩 Here's more on her 15-year journey with us: "My journey has been phenomenal. I have interacted with the smartest of people who are all driven by a common vision and mission. In my tenure here, I have had the opportunity to try different roles and most of those have been where the customer is “central” and this has led to my current role as Engineering Director, part of the Customer Enablement Engineering group. Akamai has has given me opportunities to grow in multiple dimensions with incredibly supportive leadership. I also get to brag about how: 'We make the internet work…' 😃"

Hi, I'm Noa 👋 I feel lucky to share that I just joined Akamai as a Product Manager, based in 📍 Tel Aviv for #AkamaiIsrael. Starting a new role, remotely has not been easy. It's not quite the same, you don't get to experience the atmosphere, the office and meet the people. The entire hiring process was done remotely but smoothly, I got a sense of certainty, and the impression that there are always people around who care for my experience. When it was possible to go to the offices, I did – luckily by the time I started at Akamai, our offices were open. As a product manager, working relationships are the foundation for managing and driving processes. I believe that arriving at the office and meeting colleagues face to face has added value in creating and promoting these relationships. It also allows me to meet employees from different parts of the company who do not necessarily work with me directly. Overall, I'm excited to be here!

The Akamai Foundation was established in 2000, driven by Akamai's core values of inclusion, integrity, trust and giving back to the communities where our employees work and live around the world, as well as by our belief in the amazing possibilities that maths and other STEM fields can create for humanities future. The primary mission has been to promote STEM education and excellence among the next generation of technology innovators, by promoting math's importance on school children in grades K-12. We believe it pays a fundamental role in technology development across America. There are a number of ways in which the Foundation attain this goal, among this is making direct grants to local charities and global non government organization that develop individuals for careers in STEM fields. With a further emphasis on reaching populations that are underrepresented in the tech industry.
