Cybercriminals are exploiting job seekers by creating fake job opportunities to steal sensitive information, gain unauthorized access, or manipulate victims for financial gain. If you are one of the fraudsters taking advantage of Akamai’s good name, be advised that we will seek legal action. How the Scam Works: Scammers create fake profiles that mimic legitimate recruiters and use official signatures of Akamai recruiters. They post fraudulent job listings, pretending to represent Akamai, and promising attractive benefits. A potential fraudulent message might look like the attached images. Protect Yourself: - Verify official company websites and trusted job platforms. - Be cautious of unsolicited job offers, especially if they ask for personal information or money upfront. - Never share personal details like your Social Security number, bank information, or passwords during the job application process.
