Curtis Laabs works at AlloSource as an inventory management supervisor and his AlloSource story embodies the success of our employee referral program. Prior to starting at AlloSource, Curtis worked in the operating room supply chain sector for Sky Ridge Medical Center. He would often interact with AlloSource customer service, obtaining requested allografts required for procedures. Once, his team unexpectedly needed an allograft over Memorial Day weekend. Julie, a customer service representative at AlloSource, helped Curtis meet the surgeon’s urgent need for the allografts over the holiday weekend. Curtis was so inspired by Julie’s dedication to the AlloSource mission that he decided to apply to AlloSource and was ultimately hired. Curtis decided to inform former colleagues about open positions AlloSource. Through this, he was able to refer someone from his prior company. As demonstrated by Curtis, the Employee Referral Program at AlloSource works. This program is just one of the many excellent benefits of working at AlloSource. At AlloSource, our employee culture centers around mission, growth, and wellbeing. For a combination of these reasons, “boomerang employees” like Eric Nguyen are common at AlloSource. Boomerang employees are those who leave an organization and after a period being gone, are rehired by the same organization. Eric started with AlloSource as an operations processing technician in 2013. He worked his way up to a technical expert where he trained new technicians, and eventually became a supervisor. In October of 2021, Eric decided to leave AlloSource to pursue another career opportunity. However, after the birth of his third child, Eric realized he wanted to work with a company that promoted a better work-life balance. Through relationships he developed during his initial tenure at AlloSource, he became aware of an opening for a review specialist. After applying and interviewing, Eric was rehired by AlloSource and now embraces his new position in the Donor Records department. AlloSource welcomes and embraces boomerang employees and encourages those who have left AlloSource to reapply.
AlloSource recently sponsored the DeVaughn Levy-Hagan Memorial Basketball Game for Mental Health at Cherry Creek High School. CU Buffs alumni athletes across sports from football to woman's basketball to soccer squared off against each other, including former Denver Broncos Super Bowl Champ Tyler Polumbus and former Harlem Globetrotter Nate "Big Easy" Lofton. Several thousand dollars were raised for the StoryHealers program for Mental Health with Buna's Village and Colorado Easter Seals.
