Safety starts with what we see – and what we choose not to ignore. As we kick off National Construction Safety Week, our teams are focused on recognizing hazards early and staying vigilant on every jobsite. For equipment mover Arthur Palmer, safety is personal. “Going home to our families at the end of the day is the main thing that matters. Safety First isn’t just words – it’s a practice. We have to watch out for ourselves and each other and stay alert.” In his role transporting equipment, that awareness is critical. From securing every load – no matter the size – to regularly inspecting straps, chains and tie-down tools, Arthur knows that overlooking small details can put both the public and his crew at risk.
