This past Saturday, Arcellx teamed up with the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to step up to take down cancer at the San Francisco Big Climb event! Our team gathered to climb the stairs at the SF Giants Stadium, raising over $18K in donations to support LLS’s mission to cure blood cancers. At Arcellx we dream big by thinking small (at the cellular level) inventing ways to destroy cancer and advance humanity. Our mission and the mission of the LLS go hand in hand, and the funds raised through our Big Climb fundraising efforts will together get us one step closer to a world without cancer!

Did you know that—according to the 2022 census—women in the U.S. who work year-round on average earn only 84 cents for every dollar paid to men? This statistic underscores the alarming persistence of the gender wage gap, and the disparity grows even wider within minority groups, with Black women and Latinas working full-time earning 69 cents and 57 cents, respectively. Today, on Equal Pay Day, we acknowledge the critical importance of pay equity in achieving gender equity. Pay equity is not just about numbers—it’s about striving to counteract the inequalities that persist, in an effort to create equal opportunities for all. As Arcellx CEO, Rami Elghandour, simply puts it, “You cannot achieve gender equity without addressing the gender wage gap.” At Arcellx, we are committed to creating a workplace where every individual is valued equally and compensated fairly. We believe that fostering a culture of pay equity is not just a moral responsibility, but also a strategic advantage. By ensuring fairness in compensation, we foster a collaborative environment where team members are supported and can contribute their best, driving innovation and success for our people and organization.
