As a global organization, we have a commitment to advance racial equality and justice. This Black History Month, we’re excited to share a peek into what’s happening in support of our Black employees, communities and allies: ➡️ Employees can attend a virtual panel called, “Celebrating Black History Month, Career Growth, Allyship and Impact,” which include two African American executives currently on Assurant's Board of Directors. ➡️ Through February 28, employees can participate in a 2:1 match of charitable donations focused on social justice and anti-racism causes. ➡️ Assurant will award a special grant to the Thurgood Marshall College Fund to help provide scholarships for underrepresented minority college students. ➡️ We launched a Diverse Slate & Interview Team requirement for senior roles in the U.S. in 2021, which continues to be leveraged as a standard practice for interviewing candidates. ➡️ To continue investing in Assurant talent, our DEI Team has forged several strategic partnerships dedicated to the development of Black leaders, women and other underrepresented groups.
