We couldn’t be prouder to partner with organizations like Americares, who play a central role in bringing critical healthcare services to communities in need worldwide. Baxter team members recently joined Americares for a 48-hour journey to Colombia, where they visited Americares medical clinics, met with staff and community members, and experienced the vibrant local culture. Andrea Cataño, who leads Baxter's Corporate Responsibility work in Colombia, reflected on the experience: "In my role at Baxter, I'm focused on advancing programs that make a meaningful difference for vulnerable populations in Colombia. It was remarkable to see firsthand how Americares' work is so closely aligned to Baxter's mission to save and sustain lives. The race is on, and a pack of Baxter women leaders is shooting to the lead. We were well represented by a host of front runners at the Professional Women in Healthcare Leadership Summit in Louisville, Kentucky -- home of the Kentucky Derby. These types of events have a tremendous impact on our leaders. "We all are fortunate and thankful to have had this experience to attend the 2024 PWH. We left empowered and motivated to make changes to shift and move forward even when it's hard," said Janet Claire Trapuzzano.
