November is National Adoption Month, so we’re reflecting on our commitment to helping colleagues grow their families through adoption. With more than 100,000 children awaiting adoption in the U.S. alone, we’re proud to provide over $24,000 toward eligible expenses and fees for domestic or international adoptions.
We're committed to fighting hunger through our partnership with Feeding America and local hunger relief organizations across our enterprise. During Hunger Action Month in September, colleagues turned healthy activities into meals for our communities through our Step Up to Fight Hunger challenge. Our more than 900M steps resulted in 300,000 meals donated to support our local communities.
We understand that the transition back to corporate life can be daunting. That's why we're excited to partner with the Financial Women’s Association's Back2Business return-to-work program. Since 2018, we have had 15 colleagues utilize our adoption assistance program. We take enormous pride in helping our colleagues’ dreams of growing their family come true.
Our continued goal is to support colleagues in all aspects of their lives. That’s why we're increasing our parental leave from 2 to 6 weeks of fully paid leave for all permanent colleagues (this includes birth parents, non-birth parents, adoptive and foster parents).
