Skate & Sip: Cloudforce’s February Team Outing ❄️This month’s team outing was a perfect blend of winter fun and relaxation! We started off by hitting the ice at the Wharf DC. ⛸️Some of us glided like graceful swans, while others... well, let's just say we embraced the art of falling with style! But whether we were mastering spins or perfecting our “penguin waddle” 🐧, the laughter never stopped. Ice skating was a great way to take a break from our screens and connect with each other all while embracing our inner child. After working up an appetite and maybe a few bruises on the rink, we headed over to a well-deserved happy hour. With glasses raised and smiles all around, we toasted to another successful month of hard work and dedication. 🍻 At Cloudforce, we don't just talk about our values of glee and teamwork--we live them! 🎉🧁 Sweet memories were made at our second Bring Your Kids to Work Day! This past Presidents Day, while school was out, Cloudforce welcomed its extended family in. Kids of all ages joined us for a day packed with adventure and fun. They decorated cupcakes, colored Cloudforce pages 🎨, and embarked on an office tour to discover what Cloudforce is all about. Amidst the excitement, interactive stories were also told, including "The Cloud," an AI story by Technical Trainer Garrett Broady, and "How to Run an Office" presented by Office Manager Devin Briscoe. They also delighted in many Cloudforce favorites, from ping-pong 🏓, chess ♟️, and giant Jenga, to Xbox, Nintendo Switch 🎮, and plenty of card games♠️. It was truly a day filled with glee! 🙌 🏠💖 At Cloudforce, we see our office as much more than just a workplace; it's a home away from home where our hashtag#eliteforce is family. Being surrounded by our kids' creativity and curiosity reminded us all that our office not just a place to work—it’s, also a space to grow, learn, and create memories together. Cracking the Cloudforce CODE! 🔓 Cloudforce recently held a highly motivating workshop with award-winning change consultancy Curium Solutions US to help us better understand our team members’ unique hashtag#communication styles and how we can better connect with each other. 💬 📝🗣️Based on the results of team-wide individual assessments to pinpoint how we each Connect, Organize, Drive, and Explore (CODE), we engaged in a series of lively discussions about how our personal results align to how we approach our work, communicate, and collaborate. Led by Curium’s Jordan George and Luke Entwistle, we gained valuable insights and strategies for connecting and communicating more effectively based on our personal CODEs.💡 We’re now working to apply these inspiring learnings in our day-to-day interactions to foster even stronger relationships and heighten our essential collaboration efforts.🤝 🛠️At Cloudforce, we're committed to investing in our employees, and to empower them with tools and knowledge to thrive professionally and personally. Since our earliest days, our Cloudforce for Good initiative has been dedicated to creating a lasting positive impact in our community and beyond. 🤝🤍From supporting emergency relief efforts to hurricane victims in Puerto Rico to supplying area students with supply-filled backpacks🎒 to raising funds to supply 100 laptops 💻 so Prince George’s Community College students without means could engage in distance learning during Covid-19, and so much more—Cloudforce for Good has been there, ever strong. 💪 🎄Now, ’tis the season for spreading cheers and this year, and our ever-clever staff found a most special two-part way to spread incredible joy to the young hearts at Children's National Hospital. First, we recorded virtual story-time videos; 📹📖 it was a truly rewarding and heartwarming experience to connect with these amazing kids through the magic of storytelling. 🚀🌈 🎁 But that's not all—we also hosted a Toy Drive through Dr. Bear's Closet, further benefiting our dear new friends at Children's National Hospital this season. 🧸✨ 🙌 We are grateful for the chance to make a difference, and we couldn't have done it without the support of our dedicated #eliteforce.
