February 23rd, the Prince George’s chapter of the Maryland Tech Council, PGCTC, welcomed Prince George’s colleagues, partners, and supporters to Partnerships and Placements, an evening of networking 🤝 and cheer 🥂 at one of the County’s latest new venues, C-Crab, in Morningside, MD. As Cloudforce President/CTO Husein Sharaf says of our beautiful headquarters space, “This is not an office, this is our home.” And on President’s Day, Cloudforce opened its home to welcome staff and their families to our very first “Bring Your Kid(s) to Work Day 👦 👧.” Kids of all ages were welcomed to join us for fun, games, and numerous activities, including a craft-your-own-cloud extravaganza ☁, Cloudforce coloring sheets 🖍, a scavenger hunt 🔎, video games galore🎮, ping pong, and Jenga—and for the older kids, a bit of chess♟️and a resume workshop! Seeing coworkers in parenting/caretaking mode made for plenty of special memories, while building new levels of mutual appreciation beyond our professional roles as cloud consulting ninjas. Taking time to disconnect from our screens to connect with each other remains key to the Cloudforce secret sauce of building productive, happy teams, seasoned for long term #growth and #success.
🔬 Last week, Cloudforce Cloud Services Associate Angela Latson and Workforce Specialist Yayoi Vanzego, aPHR networked with promising future Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) superstars, industry leaders, and professionals at every level at the 37th BEYA (Black Engineer of the Year) STEM Conference. Held this year right in our backyard at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, the BEYA STEM Conference offered three days of learning 💡 and celebrating excellence 🏅 through informative sessions, inspiring keynote speeches and award shows. The event also featured an expansive job fair where Cloudforce socialized its incredible STEM job opportunities and benefits to students, military professionals, and corporate and government workers. 🧑💻👩💻 🌱 As we continue to hire and grow, Cloudforce is committed to fostering an #equitable and #diverse technology workforce through initiatives which upskill and set local talent interested in STEM on rewarding engineering tracks.
