Not all New Year’s resolutions focus on finances, weight, and general health, some extend to mental health as well. In fact, making mental health resolutions can be an important new tradition to help those who struggle with change and help them regain their sense of balance. · Don’t be too hard on yourself. Remind yourself daily that as a human, you will make mistakes or miss goals, and that is okay. What is important is going forward in these situations in a positive manner. · Stay mindful and in the moment. Don’t dwell too much on the past or spend too much time fixating on the future. Remember to live in the here and now and enjoy all that life has to offer. · I will commit to being physically active each day. Studies have shown there is a link between mental and physical health. #newyear2022 #newyearsresolutions #mentalhealth #change
According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD can affect up to 10 percent of people and occur more frequently in women. Symptoms can be sudden and surprising – and are more likely to happen during winter months with colder temperatures and less sunlight in the day. SAD can affect every aspect of a person’s life and reduces productivity at work as well. Employers can take steps to become more sensitive to the issue and make small changes that could make affected employees more comfortable during this time. #seasonalaffectivedisorder #mentalhealth #winterblues #productivity
