In this first entry of our safety spotlight, we asked Christopher Camilleri, International EHS & Secure Materials Director at Crane Currency, what makes him most proud of the safety culture at Crane’s Ħal Far facility? This is what he had to say: “What makes me most proud is the genuine engagement of our teams in identifying and managing risk. Our workforce actively participates in risk assessments, safety inspections, and the reporting of safety observations. This has created a culture where safety is not seen as a compliance requirement, but as a shared responsibility. The consistency, transparency, and open communication we maintain, especially through regular presence on the shopfloor, have helped build trust and strengthen our collective commitment to keeping each other safe.” It’s an approach grounded in ownership, trust, and everyday action, where everyone plays a role in keeping each other safe.

This early development marked a pivotal shift, establishing the integration of security directly into durable cotton and cotton-flax banknote paper, a principle that continues to guide our work today.

The Crane Fund for Widows and Children provides direct assistance to the underserved by financially supporting local agencies, charities, and schools in the communities where Crane Company and its subsidiaries conduct business.

PHILANTHROPY IN OUR COMMUNITIES We are proud to report that our global associates at Crane Currency delivered over 2,200 hours of community service in 2024 - exceeding their goal by more than 120%! Our associates continue to serve those in need through our work with our philanthropic community partners. This is a cornerstone of our values here at Crane, and we are very proud of the work they do throughout the year. Additionally, Crane Currency is proud to have donated $380,000 USD globally in 2024, through the Crane Fund for Widows and Children (CFWC), to non-profit organizations in the communities where we operate. The Crane Fund for Widows and Children (CFWC) is a unique corporate giving campaign that unites Crane associates around the world in one mission - to provide help to those that need it the most in the communities where Crane Company does business. Employee driven contributions are made to non-profit charitable organizations that provide direct assistance to the underserved populations in the communities where Crane Company operates or where our associates have a direct connection. This fund touches the lives of many through its efforts to support issues around food insecurity, affordable housing, education, health, environmental protection, animal welfare, and many other worthy causes. The CFWC donates over $2 Million annually.
