Alongside our partners and San Diego community members at the Port of San Diego, Crowley broke ground for the shoreside charging station of our forthcoming zero-emission tugboat, eWolf. The industry-first all-electric tug is under construction and is designed to sustainably and efficiently operate without a drop of fuel. The all-electric tug and its charging station are a result of federal and local partnerships among Crowley, the Port of San Diego San Diego County Air Pollution Control District, California Air Resources Board, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Maritime Administration (MARAD). We are excited to help lead the journey to sustainable, decarbonized ports of the future by investing in innovative technology.

Our team members in El Salvador recently joined the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to learn about the importance of reforestation and its impact on our global ecosystem. Our volunteers planted more than 600 trees in the coastal Santa Clara Forest, demonstrating their drive for making our planet a better place. Through our Crowley Cares program and the guidance of our Sustainability team, our employees are empowered to make impactful actions and lasting change for our planet for generations to come.

The Universal Tennis Rating is a global system that promotes fair and competitive play. “I enjoy tennis because of the fierce competition. Introducing Artemis, the newest Crowley ship assist tug chartered from Brusco Tug & Barge. As one of the most powerful tugs for its size, the Tier IV tug will provide an impressive 96 tons of bollard pull for its compact size of 77 feet while meeting EPA emissions standards. Currently under construction by Diversified Marine, Inc, we are excited to welcome Artemis to the fleet later this year and continue to deliver the highest level of performance.

Team bonding is an essential part of engagement and success. With so many team members in town for a gratifying three-day workshop about our culture and other topics, the Crowley crew in Seattle took to the ballgame last week for some after-hours team bonding at the Mariners vs. Minnesota Twins game. Even though the Mariners suffered a 3-10 loss, our team walked away reenergized for what’s next.
