Throughout February, our teams honored four trailblazers whose breakthroughs still shape the way we live and work today: · Dr. Valerie L. Thomas – NASA physicist and inventor of the Illusion Transmitter, a foundational technology behind modern 3D imaging and virtual reality. · Marie Van Brittan & Albert Brown – Co-inventors of the first home security system, introducing video monitoring and remote door access still used in smart security devices today · Dr. James E. West – Co-inventor of the electret microphone, now used in more than 90% of microphones—from smartphones to conferencing tools we rely on daily. · Dr. Gladys West – Mathematician whose pioneering work made GPS technology accurate and widely accessible across countless industries
