Our DSP's are the heart of what we do! We can never thank them enough; luckily we have been heard in MN about our 17% wage gap due to advocacy! One small step for our industry that we HOPE to snowball into other states! Please talk to your legislators! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSUfA-5qiDg
Don't let Madie's quiet, humble personality fool you, she's a force to be reckoned with! Working for CCRI Moorhead as a Direct Support Professional, Madie's spirit, creativity, determination, and highly skilled approach dramatically improves the quality of life for those she supports. Whether providing inconspicuous de-escalation, teaching people to use technology to stay connected with friends and family, or simply making dreams come true, Madie makes a huge impact. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=830Oc8iVpa8

PRIDE WEEK!
Another year; another win for the heart of of business!
On May 2nd, the conference room at Dungarvin Ohio looked more like a craft studio than a conference room. The room was filled with 57 t-shirts, vinyl, scissors and crafting machines. The Children and Family Services (CFS) team used these supplies to make t-shirts for the Dungarvin Ohio foster parents. The wording that was ironed onto the t-shirts, “Be the Village”, was in reference to the saying “It takes a village to raise a child.” Foster parents, just like biological parents, need a ‘village’ to support them in raising the youth in their home. Providing quality support with a personal touch is at the center of the services that Dungarvin Ohio offers to the foster parents in our network. These t-shirts were given to the foster parents at a luncheon held in their honor on May 13th to show appreciation for them in celebration of May being Foster Care Month.
On April 23-25, the first Dungarvin Regional Leadership Conference was held in Denver, Colorado. The conference theme of “we can’t control the wind, but we can adjust our sails to reach our destination” included topics on staffing issues and quality of services. It also provided an opportunity for team and relationship building, learning from one another, and rejuvenation. Click the link below to read more.
