For the past year I have been spending one lunch break (45 minutes max) a week delivering meals to seniors for the Meals on Wheels program that Valley Senior Services/Fargo Park District provides. I would love if my experience could help convince others to also donate a little bit of their time to give back to some of the best people in our community. Meals on Wheels doesn't just make sure that a balanced meal is available each day but also provides a daily safety check and I've enjoyed chatting and getting to know those who would like that interaction. I can't say enough about this amazing program that does so much and that requires so little of our time to make a big impact in people's lives. If you have ever thought about volunteering, I highly recommend getting in touch with Jennifer Erickson, their wonderful volunteer coordinator, to see if it's the right place for you to give back. A big thank you to Ecumen for giving me the flexibility and encouragement to do this. They "walk the talk" time and time again when it comes to taking care of seniors and their team members.
We are so excited to honor our team member Carol as she celebrates her 25th work anniversary with Ecumen Pathsone! Carol started her career at Pathstone as a Resident Assistant and has grown into her position today as a Life Enrichment Assistant. She is even pictured on the history wall featured outside of our Pathstone therapy gym! Carol, we are fortunate to have you on our Ecumen Pathstone team. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for all of those that have called Pathstone their home over the last 25 years.
Celebrating 100% Census and 108 New Team Members since May with over 83% retention rate at our Ecumen Pathstone location! Teamwork makes the dream work! We had the honor and privilege to celebrate President & CEO Shelley Kendrick who was named one of The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's 2022 Women in Business honorees. In her acceptance speech she gave a special thank you to the 2,700 team members that work for Ecumen who continue to provide compassionate healthcare each day.
