Space Odyssey is one of the first exhibits you come across when you walk into the Museum, said Coreen Smith, superintendent for Encore Electric. There are many interactive locations in the area, such as a spaceship simulator that lets guests explore space via the controls of a ship like a video game, and an exhibit that mimics the feeling of being in space. Altogether these two projects, with electrical work done by the Encore Electric team, promise to keep the Denver Museum of Nature & Science running like clockwork for decades to come.

“This award is a testament to our tradespeople who work safe on jobsites every day,” said Jack Cain, director of health and safety at Encore Electric. “Working safe is who we are as an organization, and we’re always thinking and talking about safety. We’ve learned so much from taking part in the Construction Safety Excellence Awards over the years, and we’re grateful to share ideas and successes with other contractors from around the United States.”

Encore Electric was named one of the Top 150 places to work in Colorado in 2019 by the Denver Post. The Denver Post selected the Top 150 from a field of hundreds of employers across three categories, including large, medium and small companies. Encore Electric was ranked #12 overall in the Large Companies category, which consists of companies with more than 500 employees. Encore Electric was the top construction firm in the category, which includes some of the most well-known companies in Colorado.

Encore Electric was named the 2019 Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) Grand Award Winner by the Associated General Contractors of America on April 3, 2019.
