This June, we celebrate Pride Month 2024 across the globe with the theme, United We Thrive. Throughout the month, FactSetters from every region will join together in support of the LGBTQ+ community to promote awareness, advocacy, and allyship. Our global Pride Business Resource Group is excited to engage our workforce with office celebrations, panel discussions, networking events, interactive presentations, and community volunteering opportunities. Our global Women's Business Resource Group hosted the second annual EMPOWER Conference in celebration of International Women's Day with the theme of "Inspire Inclusion". The day was filled with educational and engaging programming featuring inspiring speakers and panelists sharing their experiences of empowerment and insights for building inclusive communities. FactSetters participated in global virtual events and local celebrations in FactSet offices across the globe.
This February, FactSet celebrates Black History Month in the U.S. Aligning with the national theme of Celebrating African Americans and the Arts, we're spotlighting the many artistic talents and expressions displayed by the Black community. The arts can be a powerful tool to educate and promote cultural awareness while highlighting the need for social justice and advocacy. We're proud to have our Black Business Resource Group showcase the significance and historical impact of art through events with local Black artists who will share their work and cultural perspectives.
World AIDS Day was an opportunity to raise awareness and show solidarity with people living with HIV. FactSetters across the globe joined together to #rocktheribbon in efforts to raise awareness and support the fight against HIV.
FactSet kicked off our Hunger Awareness campaign last week, a special time of year when FactSetters joined together to fight hunger in our communities. Volunteers participated in pancake flipping contests, packed thousands of meals, sorted food in warehouses, helped on an urban farm, and more. FactSet offices around the world are participating from November 6 – December 8, supporting our Corporate Responsibility pillar to alleviate food insecurity.
Our CEO, Phil Snow, was delighted to be included as a judge at the Technovation World Summit! The Summit showcases the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of young women who are building tech solutions to some of our greatest challenges. We can’t wait to see what’s next for these future tech leaders!
FactSet has been selected as one of ‘America’s Greenest Companies’ by Newsweek magazine. Companies on the list have committed to being good stewards of the environment, working to save the Earth and its resources for future generations. To prevent "greenwashing" through narrow criteria, companies were evaluated on a broad base of four criteria: greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, waste generation, and commitment and disclosures.
