This week, teams of girls and young women all over the world are discovering how they did in the Technovation competition. Freely available worldwide, the competition challenges girls to solve a problem in their community using technology. This year alone, more than 600 FactSetters worldwide volunteered as judges to give the girls empowering feedback to enhance their ideas. Here at FactSet, we value tenacity. We strive to learn and do better every day, helping our clients, communities, and each other grow. Tenacity is a superpower! So, no matter where each team is placed, we are proud of the girls' tenacity to learn and grow through technology education!
Earlier this month, HQ FactSet hosted a "Kids Coding for a Cause" Hackathon, partnering with some amazing local non-profits such as TAILS (The Alliance In Limiting Strays), Stamford Museum & Nature Center, Rise Against Hunger, and Higher Education Literacy Professionals, Incorporated. It was so inspiring to see what these kids built for our non-profits. Special thanks to our partners and our very own FactSet computer science mentors.
