June 19, or Juneteenth, celebrates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. Originating in Texas, Juneteenth is celebrated across the U.S. and as of June 17, 2021, has officially been designated a Federal holiday. FactSet commemorated Juneteenth as a paid company holiday for U.S.-based employees on Friday, June 18. June marks the beginning of #pridemonth and our theme for this year is allyship. We believe that allies are crucially important to help create an inclusive and equitable workplace where all employees are respected, valued, included, and celebrated, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
