Tampa, we’re officially open. ✂️ With the opening of our new 190,000 square foot, three-building Tampa campus, GEICO continues investing in people, careers, and opportunities across Florida. The opening of our Tampa office has expanded our Florida workforce to over 4,400 associates in Tampa, Lakeland, Jacksonville, and other locations statewide. With 500 roles in Tampa already filled, we plan to hire a total of 1,500 employees to support our insurance Sales, Service, and Claims departments. We’re grateful to celebrate the opening of our new campus alongside local Tampa leaders, GEICO team members, and community partners who help make this region such a great place to grow.
Giving back doesn't have to happen on your own time. GEICO associates receive 10 paid Volunteer Time Off hours and access to organized, company‑led volunteer opportunities—so making an impact fits into the workday, not around it. This National Volunteer Month, we’re proud to celebrate a benefit designed to support community impact where our associates live and work. Whether volunteering at an in‑office event, supporting a local nonprofit, or giving to a cause they’re passionate about, every effort helps strengthen the communities we call home.

Productive meetings by day, fulfilling volunteer shifts by night. 🦎🦎 GEICO Tech leaders recently got together in GEICO's new Tampa Bay office for a day of collaboration, which they followed with a night of volunteering with Feeding Tampa Bay. Feeding Tampa Bay is an organization that supports the local community with food, support, and resources. Our team members volunteered at Feeding Tampa Bay's market, working a shift inside the grocery story stocking shelves and helping customers shop. "The whole experience was humbling as we could talk to people coming from all paths of life," said Sudheer G., Senior Manager, Staff Software Engineer at GEICO. "We realized the importance of small things that we tend to ignore in life and at the end we could appreciate the power of serving community through these volunteering opportunities." Game on, Houston! 🏀🏀 With March Madness® about to begin, we teamed up with Good Sports, Inc. to donate more than 600 brand-new basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, volleyballs, pickleballs, and pieces of golf equipment to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. Even better? Employees from our Houston area office were joined by WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes, who encouraged the next generation to dream big. "We hope to inspire the next generation to achieve their greatest potential, starting here with sports, teamwork, and community," said Kaydian Murphy, a GEICO Director in attendance at the event. "We’re proud to support education partners like the Boys & Girls Club to create more opportunities for kids to stay active and build life skills through sports."
