We are proud to announce that GardaWorld got nominated as one of the best places to work in the United States for diversity. The results reported by Newsweek are based on an independent survey conducted in the United States in collaboration with Plant-A Insights Group. The assessment is based on a review of publicly available data, interviews with human resources professionals, and an anonymous online survey of a diverse group of employees from companies with at least 1,000 employees. Respondents were asked questions about company culture, work environment, and other topics related to their own company and others they knew well. In total, the survey collected more than 350,000 company evaluations. As Newsweek magazine explains, “it is well-documented that workplaces filled with people with different worldviews are more creative, more innovative and generally make better decisions. Employing a wide variety of people who feel comfortable and respected isn’t a desirable perk, it is simply good business.”

Last month, while on her shift, Officer Wanda Johnson noticed a suspicious man in a closed-off area of the mall. He told her he was waiting for his “girlfriend” to use the bathroom. Officer Johnson remained in the area and did see a woman leave the nearby restroom. This woman immediately walked to Officer Johnson and said she needed help and wanted to escape from a trafficking situation. She moved the woman out of the common area to privacy. She then immediately notified her project manager and law enforcement. Subsequently, the woman’s story was confirmed. She was taken to safety and eventually reunited with her family. Prior to Officer Johnson’s securing her safety, she had been abducted for the past eight months and transported over 1000 miles (1609 km) from her place of abduction. Officer Wanda Johnson responsiveness and situational awareness resulted in a timely and orderly resolution of the situation. Thank you, Officer Johnson!
