Meet Tracy Thacker-Grove, LPN at Seaford Center in DE. Tracy began her career with Genesis as a CNA while attending a nursing program completed in 2014. The same week Tracy took her NCLEX exam, her husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. Tracy passed her exam on the first attempt stating, "I know I wasn't alone during the exam because there is no way I could've passed it on my own with all I had going on." The next 6 months were spent working as a LPN, returning home to get a few hours of sleep before leaving at 4:30 am to take her husband to John Hopkins Hospital for treatment each day, and then driving home each night in time for work. Sadly, he passed away 11 months after receiving his initial diagnosis. Tracy continued her journey with Genesis as an LPN, and is now taking the next step and attending training for her new position as Admissions Director. Meet Jamar Guy, CNA at our Milford Center in Milford, DE. Jamar began working for Genesis in the dietary department in 2001 explaining, "I have enjoyed my employment and the relationships I have developed with the residents. I knew I wanted something more but, I was scared the CNA program would be too much for me. Eventually, I decided I really wanted to advance and it was time." Meet Wendy Blythe, Staffing Coordinator at Genesis Staffing Services in Towson, MD.
