In furthering our commitment and recognizing the importance of women to our business, this week H2M architects + engineers launched a Women’s Initiative with a fantastic WebEx hosted by our Learning and Development Manager, Dan Ritchie! We had a great turnout with close to 150 participants and a very active chat box! Panelists on this webinar included our President and CEO, Rich Humann and Chief Human Resources Officer, Liz Uzzo. Topics Covered Included: - An overview of the Initiative - Next Steps for the Initiative Throughout the meeting we had trivia questions with some inspiring literature as prizes! Pictured are our winners: We had a tie for “How many women on the H2M Board?”, Ron Lanner & Jamie Pizzardi won!. Ron chose “How to Stop Worrying and start living” by Dale Carnegie and Jamie chose “The Moment of Lift” by Melinda Gates. Leshelle Mocniak, R. A. won for guessing the number of women at H2M and chose “Lean in” by Sheryl Sandberg. Dan couldn’t get a picture with her, so he took one with her H2M headshot! #H2M #WomensInitiative #diversity #diversityandinclusion #inclu

Good News Spotlight: One of our H2Mers, Kirsten Jedd continues to spread her generosity throughout this difficult time. Kirsten volunteers her time at Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and that includes walking and playing with some of the dogs that reside at this animal shelter as well as doing laundry and washing dishes. She also has collected donations from friends, family, and coworkers like toys, blankets, shoe boxes for cats, and even bottle deposits. During the COVID-19 outbreak the Humane Society has been working hard to get as many dogs as possible into foster homes to help lighten the workload for the reduced staff, so Kirsten has been getting the word out there on social media and to coworkers to see if anyone would be able to welcome a foster pet during this time. The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society is running a Photo Contest right now and accepting donations, if you would like more information, please go to their page: https://lnkd.in/dVudjAX #volunteers #volunteering #community #H2M
