On Sunday, Westhampton Free Library celebrated the grand opening of it’s “Attic Project”! H2M architects + engineers worked with Lipsky Construction on this project that transformed the 2,750 square foot second floor from storage space into a vibrant children’s and teen area, equipped with books, computers, and group study areas. New staff offices and an all-ages multipurpose room for community programming were also added. The first floor got a face-lift as well, new reception desks and book stacks were added and rearranged to improve the flow of foot traffic throughout the open space. A fireplace was installed at the entrance, accompanied by cozy armchairs. A new meeting room, media collection, and quiet study area were also added. The ribbon cutting included a welcome from Barbara Matros, Board President and Danielle Waskiewicz, Library Director as well as a Color Guard Invocation, Pledge Recognition, Plaque Unveiling, Ribbon Cutting, and concluded with Open House tours. #architects #engineers #library #H2M
