Set to rise 80 floors to a total height of 1,035 feet, HKS-designed Wilson Tower will be dubbed the tallest building in the state of Texas upon completion! Its signature design feature includes a brise soleil that wraps the tower's entire glass exterior giving protection from the hot Texas sun and wind. As said by HKS' Brad Wilkins the vision for this building is to set a new bar in skyscraper residences for Austin with a purpose to foster creativity and social connection. We're thrilled to work with The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort to redesign the resort's Michelin-starred restaurant, garden restaurant, main swimming pool and a new Shore Club for guests to take in stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. Congratulations to Jackelyn Rosales, the recipient of the 2021 HKS Equitable Design Scholarship! Jackelyn is a 2021 CityLab High School graduate and will be attending the University of Texas at Arlington College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs this fall. The HKS Equitable Design Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors in north and northeast Texas to be used for tuition in pursuit of a degree in architecture.
