This September, we celebrate Healthy Aging Month by recognizing the importance of staying healthy both physically and mentally. As our bodies change as we grow older, it is important to be proactive with our health and create habits that align with the needs of our bodies. During September we encourage older adults to stay active in both their minds and bodies and to seek regular checkups with their physicians to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Fathers, mothers and anyone else who may be raising the next generation can all help instill healthy personal finance habits by involving children in important financial discussions. In fact, 50% of parents with kids as young as 10 years old have already given their daughters and sons investing lessons and an additional 38% plan to provide this financial instruction when their children are older, according to a Motley Fool survey in 2022.
