Giving Back to Our Communities: Servant Heart Good Works in 2022 At HomeTeam, we’re not just a pest control company. We take our purpose of protecting homes and improving communities seriously – it’s our culture to give back. In fact, one of our six core values is Commitment to Serving Others, and this commitment extends from our branches across the country to our corporate headquarters. Our Servant Heart Good Works program helps to fulfill this purpose. We’re passionate about the areas we serve in, and we work hard to shape these communities into places where goodness prevails. Each one of our branches has a Servant Heart ambassador who helps to field ideas for local Good Works initiatives and put these ideas into action. During 2022, HomeTeam’s President Brady Camp challenged each branch to come up with what they wanted to do to give back to their community. Hunger Bugs HomeTeam: Fighting Food Insecurity with the North Texas Food Bank More than 38 million people in the United States are food insecure, including one in every five kids in North Texas, where our home office is located. Food insecurity is a lack of reliable access to a sufficient amount of affordable, nutritious food, which can be temporary or last a lifetime. The pandemic has increased food insecurity, particularly among families with children, communities of color, veterans, and seniors – populations who were already facing hunger at much higher rates. Because of this, it’s especially important to support organizations that combat hunger, like the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB). That’s why we are partnering with the NTFB to provide 9,000 meals to neighbors in need.
