It was a pleasure to host Senator Becca Rausch at our HSMC offices this week! Since her election to state legislature in 2018, Senator Rausch has been a leading voice in support of the special education needs of children. She has authored several key pieces of legislation centered on education, with her recent filing of S.442, Resolve Establishing a Special Commission on Special Education Funding, investigating how to improve the state funding of special education services. At HSMC, we are committed to supporting human services agencies in their efforts to enhance lives and strengthen communities. Building relationships with policymakers like Senator Rausch is essential to our advocacy for meaningful, long-term support for the special needs community. Thank you, Senator Rausch, for spending time with us – we truly appreciate your continued work and valuable insights! Pictured: HSMC Founder and President Dr. Robert F. Littleton, Jr., MA State Senator Becca Rausch, and HSMC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Brooke Littleton-Fitzgerald.

Congratulations to Tina Whitaker and Jane Cunningham (25 years), Matthew Schwarm (15 years), and all our award recipients. We also want to recognize our award winners for their tremendous work this year supporting HSMC and our clients. Congratulations to Jen Quirke, who was the recipient of the 2024 “Mary Chrysos Staff Person of the Year” award. For their outstanding work, Jim Bullard, Marissa Caissie, and Sara DeLaMarre were awarded for going “Above and Beyond the Call of Duty”. In recognition of a stellar 1st year of employment, Pernell Robinson and Michael Hebert were the recipients of the “Rising Star” award.
