Your voice is heard… Sarah Quaglio, BSN, RN, and Manager of Quality and Infection Prevention at IU Health White Memorial Hospital joined IU Health a year and a half ago and plans to stay for years to come. For years Sarah worked at larger facilities and while there is value in that, as a team member she enjoys the more family-oriented feel of a critical access hospital. “You know everyone within these walls. It means so much more than only knowing those that you directly work with on the daily,” Sarah states. If you see Sarah around, she is most likely leader rounding in all areas of the hospital to make sure team members and patients are delivering and receiving excellent, safe care. She educates our nursing staff and team members on best practices and provides “in the moment” education with those team members. Sarah also participates on several committees to help keep IU Health White Memorial Hospital the best it can be for its team members and patients.

"The uptick in telehealth adoption has in many respects made it easier to deliver timely cardiology care. An in-person visit may still be beneficial, and dialogue between patients and their providers can help make this determination. I hope that beyond the pandemic, we keep telehealth as an important option for those with mobility and transportation issues who otherwise might not get the cardiology evaluation they need." -Subha Raman, MD, vice president of Indiana University Health Cardiovascular Services in Indianapolis
Asked what inspires them in their job, most provider-based CFOs will say, "caring for our patients," "making our community healthier," or "making healthcare more affordable and accessible." The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to put those aims to the test.
