Restful sleep is a key factor in maintaining overall health of the body. Lisa Keith, a respiratory therapist at IU Health Fishers, works to help patients get the best sleep possible. “Our team is a cohesive team. We have a camaraderie between all of us and the care that we provide for the patients is really what our hearts desire. When Kenny Clay was laid off during a slumping economy, he turned to IU Health seeking employment. In 2011 he was hired in housekeeping in the emergency department at Methodist Hospital. “In my role now, I’m put in the room with some of the best doctors in the business and it’s like being put on a basketball court with Michael Jordan. For the past two years, Shayla Beard has been working her way through school as a certified surgical technologist while also completing clinicals and raising her five-year-old son. Linda Ulerich has a rich history with IU Health. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University majoring in nutrition and dietetics and began working at IU Health’s Methodist Hospital. That was 47 years ago and since then she has worked in various units, with a primary focus on transplant. “One of things I like best about my job is that I have had such wonderful opportunities to work with the most amazing doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, psychologists, physical therapists, and respiratory therapists that all work together to help all our patients and families to deal with every aspect of their chronic illness and help them thrive going forward.
