Meet Lindsey Cash (she/her), Stability/Sample Coordinator at our Hamlin Road facility who recently celebrated 14 years at KBI Biopharma! When asked her favorite thing about working at KBI, she said, "Knowing that every day we are making a difference in people's lives.” She continued, “In 2022, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through surgery, chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy. Knowing that we are here, contributing to therapies and treatments for patients just like myself really hit home. I am so glad to say that in 2023, I was deemed in remission and cancer free. I like to think that maybe some of the things that we work on here may have contributed to saving my life. What we do matters.” At KBI, sample coordination maintains the inventory of all client material and all manufacturing samples used in analytical and microbiology testing. Lindsey's concentration lies in logistics of shipping samples worldwide. Her 14-year tenure at KBI has enabled her to become the "go-to" person for many things, which allows her to meet and interact with different people and teams. Outside of work, Lindsey’s favorite thing to do is to go to concerts and describes any venue with live music as her happy place. She also enjoys hiking with her two dogs, Frank and Steve, and kayaking whenever she gets the chance.

Her commitment to excellence is evident, and she finds joy in working with a supportive, mission-driven team. Outside of work, Cassie enjoys spending time with her family and three cats – Arlo, Alora, and Cosmo.

Meet Megan Batchelor, Principal Specialist in Global Compliance at our Hamlin Road site in Durham, North Carolina. With 3 years at KBI Biopharma, Megan ensures our sites are always inspection-ready, recently leading the FDA inspection at Hamlin Road. She loves the dynamic nature of her role and finds joy in the daily challenges and opportunities to grow. “No two days are ever the same,” Megan shared. “With that, I can learn and grow alongside the company!” She’s proud to work at KBI, knowing she makes a positive impact. “It's an amazing feeling to know that what you are doing is ultimately helping patients,” she joyfully said. The energy Megan brings to work matches how she lives her life. She's a Peloton enthusiast who often takes early morning spin classes to start her day. She is also an avid traveler. Megan and her husband recently came back from a trip to Alaska!

KBI Biopharma Acquires Elion Labs to Further Expand Industry-Leading Biophysical and Analytical Characterization Capabilities, January 22nd, 2018 DURHAM, NC - KBI Biopharma, Inc. (KBI) has completed the acquisition of the assets of Elion Labs (Elion), a leading contract services organization in Louisville, CO founded to serve the analytical development and product characterization needs of the biopharmaceutical industry. Elion’s services include analytical method development, qualification and validation, characterization of biologics, and comprehensive data analysis including visualization and interpretation of complex data sets. KBI has aggressively expanded its capabilities in the last 12 months. In addition to expanding its existing Durham, NC and Boulder, CO facilities, the company has added cell therapy development and manufacturing in The Woodlands, TX, integrated the Selexis cell line development technology into its mammalian cell culture development and manufacturing platforms in NC, and completed the acquisition of Alliance Protein Laboratories in San Diego.
