The year was 1997. We introduced the iconic Memoirs bathroom suite, hosted the Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf, and launched our very first website. We were also fortunate to welcome a special group of associates—213 talented, dedicated individuals in the U.S., France, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Singapore, Thailand, and the U.K.—that would humble us with 25 years of incredible service. A few weeks ago, we had the honor to celebrate the 2022 Quarter Century Club inductees. This cohort brings our total Quarter Century Club membership to more than 11,500 associates, making it one of the oldest and largest organizations of its type in the nation. #LifeAtKohler
25 students. 6 weeks. 1 purpose-led mission. Our first-ever M-Prize Competition hosted entrepreneurial-minded students from Marquette University to participate in a spinoff of our annual in-house innovation challenge. This year’s theme, Designing for Inclusivity, invited students to develop product solutions for the needs of the aging population—and, wow, did they deliver! Six student-led teams, mentored by the Kohler Kitchen & Bath Advanced Development team, pitched their (top-secret) ideas Shark Tank-style to a panel of executive judges from Kohler and Marquette. Not one, but two winning teams emerged, with students from disciplines spanning corporate communications, engineering, accounting, biochemistry, and more—proving that innovation is best when diverse minds unite. We believe that inclusion drives innovation—and innovation drives inclusion. 🙌 This #InternationalDayOfPersonsWithDisabilities, Kohler associates had the opportunity to use simulation equipment to explore firsthand how physical and sensory limitations affect daily tasks such as showering, handwashing, driving, and exercising. Hosted by our BOLD Ability business resource group, the interactive inclusion experience aimed to promote a deeper understanding and support of persons with disabilities and drive inclusive innovation in our kitchen and bathroom product portfolio. In the latest edition of their “She, Kohler” program, our Kohler Power - Engines team in Reggio Emilia, Italy, hosted female engineering students from universities across the country to explore careers at Kohler Co. The students spent the day touring the manufacturing and R&D facilities, hearing from current female engineers about job opportunities and #LifeAtKohler, and participating in a sustainability innovation challenge. #AltogetherKohler #BelievingInBetter
