Season of Caring is a proud tradition at La-Z-Boy Incorporated during the holiday season. Our team members who are participating this year are logging thousands of volunteer hours and making a difference for their neighbors in communities around the world. Earlier this week, members of our Employee Resource Group volunteered at the Monroe County Opportunity Program (MCOP) Lord’s Harvest Food Pantry in Monroe, Michigan, helping in-need senior citizens browse and select groceries. MCOP is a community action agency providing services to low-income families while allowing them to maintain their dignity and be treated with respect and compassion. Leading with compassion is a core value at La-Z-Boy and has been integral to our company since our founding in 1927. These employees from the La-Z-Boy Pride, Multicultural, and Working Parent & Caregiver Employee Resource Groups put this longtime value of compassion into action in support of each other and our surrounding communities.
What an amazing time we had this month, as 110 top La-Z-Boy Incorporated leaders traveled from around the world to Chattanooga, Tennessee, for our annual Leadership Conference! Building on our Century Vision strategy, this year’s conference centered on agility and its importance in competing and winning in today’s dynamic market. Leaders also focused on how staying aligned with our core values supports our purpose: to believe in the transformational power of comfort.
La-Z-Boy's Summer of Caring In partnership with the La-Z-Boy Working Parent Employee Resource Group, we set up at our global headquarters for the fifth consecutive year to pack backpacks with essential supplies for children in the Monroe community. We love making an impact on people of all ages and will continue to support our communities throughout the summer season and all year long!
