On May 8th we celebrated our 50th and 51st Pulitzer Prize wins. Congratulations to our staff for being honored in the Breaking News Reporting and Feature Photography categories. The L.A. Times is also recognized this year as a finalist for Local Reporting.

We are excited to welcome Priya Girishankar as executive vice president for subscription growth and advertising operations for the Los Angeles Times. Prior to joining The Times, Girishankar was the senior vice president of enterprise customer relationship marketing and general manager, Disney Rewards, at the Walt Disney Co. where she was responsible for building and leading the company’s first digitally led direct-to-consumer business. During a 20-year career with Disney, Girishankar pioneered a mutli-channel, enterprise-wide approach to acquiring and cultivating relationships with Disney’s key consumer segments.

We are excited to welcome Glenn Nano as the senior vice president of product innovation at the California Times, which includes the Los Angeles Times and San Diego Union-Tribune. Glenn will be building and leading product development teams that create user experiences that help people find stories and content they love, come back for and pay for. Prior to joining California Times, he was the product lead for Netflix Original Films and Documentaries until 2021, working at the intersection of product and content and leading the user experience of films across mobile, TV, and web apps. Previously, he co-led the subscriber growth product team at the New York Times as they strengthened their strategy and success in growing digital subscribers from 800,000 to 2.3 million between 2014 and 2017. Glenn hails from New York City and Long Island and has happily been planting roots in Los Angeles since 2017. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Harvard University.
