Luminar + Audi's Autonomous Intelligent Driving
Welcome, Brent Schwarz, Luminar’s Head of Business Development. Over the past 10 years, the LiDAR market for automotive has emerged to become a $25B global industry by 2030. At the center of this burgeoning growth is Brent Schwarz, Luminar’s new head of business development. For the past decade, he has grown LiDAR technology applications alongside the autonomous vehicle industry to help accelerate development on the most advanced data platforms. He was instrumental in the early growth of Velodyne, breaking the company out of R&D and into commercial deployment with keystone partners. He then went on to build his own company, Tyto LiDAR, which he sold to Otto, and subsequently to Uber. Brent’s role has always placed him at the forefront of developing markets on the brink of major evolution, and his addition to Luminar opens up the opportunity to expand on his experience to help grow and define a trajectory for Luminar as we transform the future of autonomy.
