Thank you to our staff at The Haven of Ann Arbor for volunteering your time to Food Gatherers. The Haven of Ann Arbor team sorted 1,000 lbs of food which will help serve the 40,000 members of Washtenaw County who rely on the local food bank. This is just one example of Marquette’s Making a Difference Day initiative – each property is encouraged to spend a day serving the local community.

Last week, we joined Des Plaines city officials, local business owners and Marquette staff to unveil and celebrate the brand new Buckingham Place Apartments in Des Plaines, Illinois. Valley Creek staff recently volunteered at Feed My Starving Children in Eagan, Minnesota. The group teamed up with other volunteers in the community to assemble and pack nutrient-rich meals for children around the world. In just one afternoon, the volunteers at Feed My Starving Children were able to pack 38,448 meals – enough to feed 105 kids for an entire year. Great job, Valley Creek!

This team consistently provides outstanding customer service through day-to-day interactions with residents, plus they host a ton of amazing social events to bring residents together.
