Maverik lands on Forbes 2024 list of America's Best Large Employers! Responses were given by current employees, employees who had worked for the company within the past two years, and individuals familiar with the company through friends, family or peers in their industry. Greater weight was given to evaluations from current employees and former employees. New to the methodology this year was the inclusion of data from the past three years—with more recent data weighted more heavily—to better identify companies that have been rated well consistently over time.

Maverik announced on Tuesday that it completed its acquisition of Midwestern chain Kum & Go and will rebrand its Utah and Intermountain West locations as Maveriks. The acquisition effectively doubles Maverik's portfolio to more than 14,000 employees and 800 locations in 20 states, making it the 12th-largest convenience store chain in the country. Maverik CEO Chuck Maggelet will oversee the new "combined organization" moving forward, according to the companies. The first few locations to get rebranded will be located in Utah.

At Maverik, we don’t want anyone to go hungry. That's why we're partnering with Feeding America ® to support people experiencing food insecurity. When you visit any Maverik October 18th through November 30, you’ll have the option to round up your cash transaction to the nearest dollar. That change will help provide meals* to our neighbors facing hunger. Ninety percent of donations raised will stay local, with the remaining funds supporting the Feeding America national organization. We look forward to serving you and — with your help — assisting our neighbors. $1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local partner food banks. This low cost per meal is achieved through large- scale food donations and partnerships that maximize efficiency and economies of scale.

As Adventure’s First Stop, Maverik is committed to promoting healthy outdoor exploration. The company’s teaming up with Swire Coca-Cola (Swire) and the National Park Foundation (NPF), the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service, to help connect kids to meaningful learning experiences at America’s National Parks through a “Round Up Your Change” summer program June 16 through July 31. In honor of the launch of the campaign, Maverik is making a $250,000 donation to NPF, while its vendor partner Swire is donating another $25,000. The campaign invites customers and team members to join Maverik and Swire in supporting NPF by rounding up their transaction to the nearest dollar or more to help create access and exposure to park experiences through NPF’s “Open OutDoors for Kids” program. “Many of our customers fuel up at Maverik before heading out to our incredible National Parks located throughout Maverik’s 12-state footprint,” said President and Chief Adventure Guide of Maverik Chuck Maggelet. “This donation program allows an opportunity to help provide more children the ability to experience that same thrilling adventure our Maverik fans crave.”
