Peanut Fact of the Month - Supporting your Mental Health 🥜 A 2014 study on mice found that an antioxidant in peanuts, known as p-coumaric acid, helped to reduce stress and anxiety. Researchers noted that the antioxidant could even have similar stress-reducing effects as some of the leading anxiety-reducing drugs.1 In 2021, University of Barcelona researchers studied the potency of peanuts’ mental health abilities with a group of college students ages 18-33. Ministry Action Team (MAT) is a group of various leaders in the Meherrin family of companies that are devoted in their Christian faith. Our mission statement is to cultivate a work environment where the seed of God’s Word is allowed to grow and bear fruit. In doing that, our vision is to see Jesus Christ firmly rooted and growing in the hearts of the Meherrin family. We meet twice a month. Once is for devotion and prayer for any employee that has requested prayer- whether it be of a personal or business matter. We gladly take any request that is submitted and pray for the need as a group and individually. We meet a second time to plan how we can minister to those around us.
