In the dynamic landscape of today's professional world, fostering internal evolution is paramount for the success of any company. One of the most effective ways to achieve this evolution is through strategic promotions. At Mission Cloud, we firmly believe in recognizing and nurturing the potential within our workforce, empowering our employees to grow both personally and professionally. Promotions at Mission Cloud are not merely based on tenure but on a commitment to continuous learning and skill development. Our Talent Development department invests in training programs, workshops, and skill-building initiatives that empower our employees to enhance their capabilities. By providing these opportunities, we ensure that our workforce is equipped with the skills necessary to take on new challenges and responsibilities. In 2023 alone, weโve seen an astounding 18 hires occur through internal evolution. Fostering internal evolution is not just a process at Mission Cloud, but a core philosophy that drives our organizational growth and mission. We canโt wait to see what the future holds!

Chief People Officer, Karoline Saffi, is beyond proud and excited to announce that Mission Cloud is the #1 Best Place to Work in Los Angeles!!! In early August, Karoline was joined by 9 team members from the Los Angeles area to attend the Los Angeles Business Journal's Best Places to Work awards ceremony. They had been informed we were honorees, which was a big deal since it was the first year competing in the Large Company category. The Los Angeles Business Journal Best Place to Work award was one of the first that Mission Cloud received back in 2019 when we had just started out and were in the Small Company category. We have been placed on the list every year since then, and in 2021 and 2022, we achieved the #1 spot in the Medium Company category. In order to earn this award, feedback from our employees is collected and considered, so really this award was possible because of our awesome team. Karoline wants to thank the team for allowing me the opportunity to work with you all and for making Mission Cloud such an amazing place to work. She truly loves what she does because of getting to work with great people here at Mission Cloud!
As part of our Cloud Literacy Commitment, Mission Cloud works with community organizations to provide training and exposure to careers in the cloud. We have recently partnered with America on Tech (AoT) to host four interns this summer: Denisse Cisneros, Eric Chen, Karolina Ratnikova, and Wei Da Chen are early college students who will be working under the supervision of the Talent Development department from July 5th to August 11th. We discovered AoT through our very own Senior Account Executive, Bobby Bishop, who learned about the organization through one of our customers, Anteriad. Bobby submitted a charitable donation to the Values Advisory Committee, and it was approved. When we heard about the great work they are doing and how well it aligned with our Cloud Literacy Commitment and Evolution, we contacted them to see if Mission Cloud could be an industry partner. AoT trains students from underrepresented backgrounds in different technologies and then partners with companies like Mission Cloud to provide summer internships and work experiences. We were excited about the opportunity to build pipelines into cloud careers for younger people who are often unaware of the cloud industry or unsure of what to study to enter the field. For this first round, the interns will be working with Talent Development, but we're excited to continue to introduce summer interns to other Mission Cloud teams. It's a great way to give back to the community.
