The 2024-2025 school year will be here before we know it! To help students get ready, Nevada State Bank is excited to support Communities In Schools of Nevada in their annual "Fill the Bus" school supply drive. Nevada State Bank has a long history of supporting the communities we serve. This includes supporting financial literacy programs, economic development efforts, and engaging in many causes that lead to stronger Nevada communities. Nevada State Bank regularly coordinates volunteer opportunities for colleagues and family members, including food drives, blood drives, community volunteer days, financial literacy education events, and more. On June 2, Nevada State Bank volunteers raised more than $1,500 for the Reno Rodeo Foundation by working at the concession stand during the Reno Aces game against the Salt Lake Bees. A portion of the proceeds from concessions sales and 100% of all tips received during the game went toward the organization’s mission to support children with extraordinary needs. At Nevada State Bank, our colleagues take immense pride in donating their personal time and effort to charitable projects, volunteering thousands of hours each year for charitable causes. Annually, our colleagues contribute more than 2,500 volunteer hours, serving more than 100 organizations throughout the state.

It’s National Volunteer Month and our Nevada State Bank teams are out in the community to serve our neighbors. For example, employees in branches throughout Southern Nevada collected 158 purses, hundreds of personal hygiene products, and $755 for "Purse Power," a local nonprofit that will pack the bags and distribute them to underserved women struggling to access essential care items on their own.
