At OU Medicine, we serve our patients both in the exam rooms, in our hospitals and out in the community. The Journal Record recently presented OU Medicine the 2018 Beacon Award for Charitable Influence, recognizing our "Live to Give" program in the Large Organization category. Every month, the Live to Give program coordinates at least one volunteer opportunity that involves OU Medicine physicians and staff members in efforts to help non-profit agencies. From 2017 to 2018, the program assisted 21 nonprofits by supplying more than 1,300 volunteers who donated more than 3,800 hours of service and has supported more than 70 non-profit agencies through sponsorship of fundraising events and donations of more than $500,000. We appreciate and thank our volunteers who made this possible!
